The fields of the Gaza Envelope have been burning for months, and the administration has no response. So a few volunteers with an initiative took part in a marathon of ideas, which reached hundreds of good people. Powerful jet engines that will change the direction of the wind? Drones wielded with lasers?

Sha’ar Hanegev Regional School joins South-Up, the first technology incubator in the Gaza Envelope, which aims to build an entrepreneurial community in the high-tech field.

How is Israel, commonly known as The Start-Up Nation, unable to find a technological solution to kite terrorism? The SouthUp Technology Incubator at the Sha’ar Ha’negev will hold a mini-hackathon titled “This is the end of every balloon”, today from early hours of the morning until late in the afternoon.

Developers from various fields will gather tomorrow for a development marathon in Sha’ar Ha’negev. Among the solutions to be presented: a laser that will burn the kite remotely.

SouthUp will offer companies in the Sha’ar Hanegev area space for offices and related services. SouthUp targeted at companies that can receive a grant from the chief scientist or who have already applied for a grant.
