The fields of the Gaza Envelope have been burning for months, and the administration has no response.

So a few volunteers with an initiative took part in a marathon of ideas, which reached hundreds of good people.

Powerful jet engines that will change the direction of the wind? Drones wielded with lasers? Maybe even domesticated birds of prey?
In the end some of these all-too-Israeli improvisations will defeat Palestinian kites and balloons.

How is Israel, commonly known as The Start-Up Nation, unable to find a technological solution to kite terrorism?

The SouthUp Technology Incubator at the Sha’ar Ha’negev will hold a mini-hackathon titled “This is the end of every balloon”, today from early hours of  the morning until late in the afternoon.

SouthUp will offer companies in the Sha’ar Hanegev area space for offices and related services. SouthUp targeted at companies that can receive a grant from the chief scientist or who have already applied for a grant.
